I don't usually post this stuff, but I found out last night that my engine builder and Friend Marty had a stroke while racing down at Earlville, IA. last weekend (Labor day). Shortly after he got to the races and while he was unloading his car to race, he suffered a major stroke. No one found him for several hours and he has been hospitalized since. From what I understand he is in grim shape. This guy is also my next door neighbor, and the house has been very quiet all week. His brother brought home the car hauler and has been back & forth to the hospital several times. So if you could say a few words for him that would be great. Jim
Some good news. Marty was moved up to Madison and is doing "better". He is able to talk (he IS a talker), but of course the left side is fubar. Going to give it a few days and may go up to visit him. Thanks to everyone with the prayers. Jim
That's good news. If I had a stroke I would go for hyperbaric oxygen treatment ( basically breathing hi pressure O2 in a chamber ). I hear this really does good things.
Best wishes for Marty & his family.3 weeks ago a good friend of mine died from a massive stroke. No brain activity, his kids flew in said goodbye & took him off life support.
