My first GS was a Scarlet Red '68 GS400 Sport Coupe, my current is a Cameo Cream '68 Convertible. Since they have not made model car in those colors yet I decided to make my own. The Convertible started out as a '69 GS Convertible with a black interior. I repainted it the correct shade of Cameo Cream and made the interior match my current GS. The Coupe started out as a white '68 GS California, I repainted the body and interior and spun the tires around to give it black walls. I also added the vent window frames that are missing on the original model versions.

Now I have the two GS's that I owned in a smaller scale:TU:

The Cameo Cream car has enamel paint color matched from Tower Paints. The Red car I used "universal red" high temp engine paint, 5 coats.

Both paint jobs came out nice but would have been better had I let them dry completely before touching them :Dou:

On the red car I used wire for the hood and trunk spears to give it a more authentic look. That car really makes me miss my first GS :ball:

    :beers2:

Yes they are Greenlight cars. I had to remove the hood from a '68 coupe Greenlight and put it on the '69 Greenlight convertible.

No link to the auction so I did not see it :Dou:

They fall in the same category as clowns- very scary.
