gee. TOUGH CROWD. Ok...my wife says I can go as high as $5268.21. :beer :TU: Seriously now....it is looking great Mike! I can hear it running right now! Jamie is todays lucky dawg. :beers2:
I'm diggin' that dual snorkel air cleaner, lots of little details on this car that make me appreciate the thought and hard work thats gone into it- inside and out. :beers2: Let er rip!
Hey Jamie! You probably should plan a shake down cruise with the "new" car. Why not bring it to the Buick show in Vancouver, WA on August 15? Then a bunch of the people on this board can see the great car & Mike's great work. I could even be persuaded to buy the first:beers2: .
Just got back from town & listened to Mikes message...vrooom vrooom!!! :bglasses: Did you ever find a flexplate cover? I'll call you tomorrow.:beer And your guys's offers are close...to the interior cost:bla:
An update to this thread. As many of you know, Jamie lost his battle with Leukemia in February of this year. His family has asked me to help them sell his convertible, and I recently brought home. I need to clean it up and hope to have a professional "paint correction" (buff/polish) done in the next few weeks and will be advertising it for sale. SO, if anyone is looking for a really nice 65 Special convertible at a fraction of the build cost and likes browns, this is the car for you!
I went out to Chris’s today and looked at the car I had seen it once when Jamie first got it back and I forgot how nice it was. This is really nice car. If anyone is seriously looking for a nice 65 they need to get ahold of Chris
I have saved all of the pictures that had been posted online, but if you have more I would love to see them. I don't think any were ever posted once the interior was finished, I will take some this weekend.
Fun fact, I learned from Jamie's ex wife that he bought the car in 1975, and the age of 15 with his paper route money, from a retired cop.
