Time to move on and get my Mercury I've been pining for. Easiest just to click on the build thread and CL ad to check it out, see everything I've done, etc. Don't come on here much, just give me a call or text 406-214-5397, located in Missoula, MT, asking $49,500. Thanks, laters:

Selling my absolutely beautiful and badass mildly customized 1960 Cadillac Coupe Deville (a real Coupe Deville, not a lesser Series 62). Finished in the factory color of Arroyo Turquoise with a white painted top. Custom hand painted pinstripes by Brent on hood, trunk, and air cleaner. Trunk and quarters have been frenched (both the trunk and fenders have bolt on sections from the factory, but this car now has a perfectly smooth one piece trunk and one piece quarters) and mildly peaked. Rest of body is as delivered by Mother GM. All glass is in excellent condition. Car is lowered PROPERLY on a Jamco 3" lowering kit with matching shocks so still rides like a Caddy should. Has 15x7 Supremes and 1.5" white wall 235/75R15 radial tires.

I had paint custom mixed to match the pinstripes and redid the factory 390 V8 (yes, these came with a Cadillac 390. It has nothing in common with a Ford or AMC 390) in it with '50 Cadillac script valve covers that still have the very hard to find built in plug wire routers/looms, and a very rare '67 Toronado air cleaner (took me forever to pick out an air cleaner I liked, and I think this matches the Cadillac "V" very nicely. I believe you'll agree.) Air cleaner is painted in the same batch of white as the top of the car, so everything ties together nicely. Has a Pertronix electric ignition conversion in the stock style distributor and a Pertronix Flamethrower coil. Plug wires are custom made to length by me high end Taylors in white and has NGK plugs installed. Aftermarket A/C installed and blows cold. All casting numbers ground off on intake and casting flash on the engine smoothed before painting. Custom easy to use fused power distribution box in the engine compartment and the harness redone nicely. A very, very cleanly done engine compartment. Custom aluminum Made in USA radiator and A/C condenser both painted black so they don't stick out like a sore thumb, matching billet overflow tank, etc. Inner fenders and radiator support, etc. all repainted nicely. High end made in Italy SPAL electric fans on condenser and radiator. This car does not overheat even during parades or cruises in 100+ degree heat. I have installed a made in the USA High output Powermaster PowerGEN alternator that looks like an original generator. No more 1960s technology electrical worries on this car. All visible hardware on the engine is Allen head bolts or stainless cap screws, I have over $500 just in bolts and nuts (I'm extremely picky). Has the factory 4 speed Hydramatic auto transmission (yes, factory 4 speed automatic transmission) that shifts and functions exactly as it should.

Interior is a nice mix of original and new. Carpet is new, seats are redone in very, very hard to find correct material (the black actually has blue metalflake in it, over $4000 in material alone, $6000 in the seats in total). Gauges all work as they should. Door panels are original as are the rear side panels. Headliner is original and perfect, as are the sunvisors. Interior stainless and hard to find Deville only trim is there and in excellent shape. All four power windows go up and down faster and more smoothly than a brand new car, and the way the rear windows go up and down is something to behold. Stock radio still in the dash and still works, hidden CD player/stereo/Bluetooth JVC deck in the jockey box with JVC 6x9s hidden under the newly installed package tray. Custom made cupholders in matching leather, and custom matched seatbelts installed for the front passengers. Interior is something anyone would be happy to have in their car.

Other things: New 2.5" dual exhaust with long Thrush glasspacks (stock mufflers pictured). Sounds nice and throaty but not loud, the sound suits the car well. Suppose I should mention it has a Hot Licks FLAMETHROWER lifetime warranty kit installed. Yes, it shoots crowd pleasing flames out the exhaust with the push of a button. Carb is the factory unit rebuilt with an electronic choke conversion. Hi torque mini starter cranks it over quickly and with ease. Brakes were gone through by myself, wheel bearings packed, etc. Lots of little details and custom touches done here and there on the car....I'm sure I'm missing many, many things that I've done or that it has done to it.

Overall this is a very well sorted, extremely reliable, and absolutely jaw dropping car. I've taken it on multiple 1000+ mile road trips, and it's never been on the trailer since I've owned it. It has never, ever failed me. If you've been to the Car d'Lane show and cruise in Coeur d'Alene then you've most likely seen it in person. It is not perfect because it is driven, but it will bring home trophies in local shows, no problem. People absolutely lose it over this car, you'll have guys wanting to take pics of their girlfriends/wives with it, and little kids think it's the batmobile. I love this car and do not need to sell it, but I only have so many garage spaces. The ONLY trade I will take is a properly chopped '49-'51 Mercury two door or Lincoln Lido (same thing as the Merc, basically). If it's the right car, I can include a little cash. If it has a Chevy engine in it, you'll have to pay me LOL. I'm open to offers, but don't call me thinking you're going to get this car for 40 grand, I will give you a polite chuckle and hang up on you. Seriously, the only reason I'm even considering selling this is to get the gangster Mercury of my dreams, so please don't try to trade me your Chevelle or Firebird. NO SCAMMERS, I know all the stupid little "tricks" you use to swindle innocent 90 year old grandmothers out of their hard earned money. Leave me be, because I'll just waste your time on purpose knowing you're too busy letting me screw with you to be a dirt bag thief to somebody else.

Give me a call if interested, I'm actually a pretty nice guy, but please don't waste either of our time. Car is located in Missoula, Montana at my house. four 0 six. TWO one for. 5 3 nine seven. Read it to yourself and write it down. Call or text and I'll get back to you asap, please don't e-mail, I won't respond. Clean clear title in my name. Thanks and have a fantastic day.

Yeah sorry guys, just a cut and paste of my craigslist ad so didn't mean to talk to you all like idiots, but you should see the replies you get off there....thanks Joe, it is a great car. The auto dim works and so does the cruise, which is pretty rare to have one or especially both. A/c works great, all exterior lights work including the gunsight turn signal indicators on top of the fenders. Power seat works great. Vacuum release for the trunk still works perfectly. Horn works.

Things that don't work: clock, courtesy lights don't turn on when you open the doors. I'm actually going to work on that and it's a simple circuit, so I'll hopefully have them going soon, just never bothered me. Power locks don't work, a previous owner welded some hokie vacuum actuators to them and I didn't feel like cutting it apart and fabbing new stuff, mostly because both key locks work like butter and reaching across the seat to unlock the other is cake, plus I always open the door for the lady riding on the passenger side to give her "the test".... if you don't know what I'm talking about watch "Bronx Tale"....

Anyway, if you're interested give me a holler. I'll tell you all the good, little bad, and there really isn't any ugly. Thanks.

Cadillac had their own proprietary "390" engine. Believe it was the mill they used before the 472/500/425/368 engine family series came out.

Semi-correct, which is why I stated it in the CL ad. I can't tell you how many people say "so you put a Ford in it?" when I tell them the engine size. This is the earlier 331/365/390 architecture, then came a different 390/429 (really, REALLY confusing for Ford people), which was before the 472/500.

Bump it up. Sitting in the garage not going anywhere, fired it and the white car up yesterday when it was 50 degrees here and let them purr for about 20 minutes.....popped right off without even needing a jump start. Just a good car....
