    Hey BeatersRus,

"Its a shame that the engine compartment wasnt finished detailing, nor was the under-hood painted/finished."
True but that was not missing from the add its just I didn't do it to the car.
"You didnt include a trunk opening and inside view, which is usually one of the worst areas of these cars as im learning."
I agree the trunk is a problem for many of these cars. Picture of the inside of the trunk is on the add not in the video look over the pics in my add again.
"You mention the breaks ( brakes) but you never specify if they are drum or disc."
Great point. It is drum and many people know if its disc it would have a stainless steel emblem on the break pad inside the car but your right its far better for me to note that for people that are new or dont know about Buicks. Thank you.
"You mention the motor and trans work properly, but dont mention if they have been updated or are completely stock."
Good Point. It is stock and I thought most would know that if they saw under the hood but making a point of it would be best.

Thanks Bob its been a fun driver for us for a few years now and though its no where near perfect its a solid car. I have the reserve set low enough that someone will get a fun car for a very fair price. My hope is also that I have put enough info for someone to have a good idea of what they are buying.

yeah thats understandable and theres nothing to do at this point, its on the bay ;)
only reason i mentioned the underhood area was because i think you would have got a bit more money if it had been finished.

i did look at the ebay ad and heres the first thing i thought...i see brown coming out from under that splatter.
a quick dip in there with the vid might have reassured people more, know what i mean?
if you really wanted to knock their socks off, underside frame and body pics would have helped as well.

Yeah BeatersRus I agree detailing it better may have got more money out of it but I wanted people to really understand its a driver and I didnt feel like doing it to be honest lol. I have underside pics in my photobucket but eBay won't let you post but 24 pics and I could not find a host that would work right at the moment for me to put more pics up. If someone asks me I can provide more pics and info. The trunk is not rusted all out and is solid. I could provide a video to a potential buyer if they needed it. I posted a pic to give people not hear piece of mind that it does have a trunk lol and not a big gapping hole in the back. Someone else can detail it up and make it far nicer if they want but for the price I am looking to get out if it I think I am very fair and I have done a lot more than most to show people what they are buying.

I really like the ad and the fact that you did not detail/spruce up/or disguise the engine bay. I have bought a lot of cars through out the years and like when I find them in this condition. Its what I consider a good honest car that speaks for itself. I have seen many times botched paint/ bodywork (hidden rust) / false claims of low miles and engine rebuilt (detailed engine bay) which most times the car looks good in pics/ads until you see it in person (looks good from far, but far from good).. Just my opinion..

    Thanks Bill,
I do think many cars look far better in pics than in person and this is one big reason I did a video to show flaws and give the buyer every chance possible to see the car without being here. I also try and make sure I am available if someone hires or comes look at the car in person.

Are you looking for another adventure(project) Ryan?

I am getting to old for Projects Brian. Only way I will take on a project is if its a GSX. The reason for selling my Buick is I am looking to buy a used Jeep Wrangler 4 door. I have a older wrangler now and love it. I want to upgrade my 2 door jeep to a 4 door and get rid of some vehicles in my driveway. I plan to sell my My Buick, Chevy Truck, and my 2 door Jeep Wrangler. I have been selling off most all of my parts so I won't say this is my last Buick only that my focus is on other things right now.

My reserve has been met so unless I have a bogus bidder or some 14 year old on his daddies account this Buick will be sold and go to its new home. I will miss it but I am really looking forward to getting a newer Jeep Wrangler and this will help me move in that direction.

Well after the auction ended today the winning bidder called to tell me he won't be buying the Buick. He told me he was robbed when he was on a cruise with his wife. Gary also went on about his friend of 22 years turned out to be a wanted felon. He stated he owns a 1970 GS455 convertible already and wanted a driver for his wife to drive. I am like whatever and now I have relisted my car. https://www.ebay.com/itm/263728481780

Do you at least get to give him negative feedback?

No, I didnt Brian. I filled with eBay to get a refund on the auction due to non payment. A long time ago I left neg feedback for someone and it turned into a problem for me because he put neg feedback on me. I contacted eBay and asked that it be removed as it was untrue only to never get that done. Its not worth the trouble so I just chalk it up as BS and move on. This is the crap you have to deal with when you use eBay. That said eBay for the most part works really well and I know myself and many others use it without many problems.

Thanks Mark. I am not to overly worried about it. I have not found a Jeep yet that I want to buy so I am not pressed. If I had found one I would be pissed that the guy backed out but I think the car is a great driver and priced really fair. I think it will sell and someone will be happy with it. We plan to take it out this weekend to a few local events and enjoy it some more during the time we have it.

Good luck with the sale. The Wranglers are nice, that’s what my wife wants next.

Thanks Jim, I have had a 2 door for the last 10 years and I love it. I really want a newer 4 door. It is unreal how well they hold the value. After researching them for a long time I am strongly considering getting a new base model one and doing a few upgrades of my own. The used market wants near what a new one costs. Other than Buicks I have a huge passion for the Jeep Wranglers. I am not a off roader. I just enjoy that they are very fun convertibles, 4WD, and they can tow a small trailer . I would say I am more of a "Mall Crawler" LOL. I also don't jack mine up like other people do since I don't do offload stuff.
