  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

We set the dates today at Osceola Dragway - September 25-27, with Sept. 26 being the day that we have the track to ourselves. Nothing else has been set yet - stay tuned!

Where exactly is the Osceola Dragway? Any general info about this event? I'm new to the whole Buick thing and am not familiar with this event. Sorry for the newb questions, thanx.

Not a problem! The Midwest Buick Challenge is hosted by the Chicagoland Chapter of the GSCA Club. This is a 3-day event. Friday afternoon is a test and tune at the track, and also a cruise at a local eatery. Saturday is a car show at the track, and Buick only racing - we have the track to ourselves. Sunday is bracket racing with their program - so it's racing with the locals.

Osceola Dragway is east of South Bend, IN, just south of Elkhart. We usually book a bunch of rooms at some local hotels for the event. You could drive back and forth, if you chose. A bunch of us would rather stay near-by and "visit" in the parking lot. We get a lot of racers from IN and MI, a few from IL, and sometimes a few from OH.

We also run the TSM and TSO turbo classes as part of their race series. So we can have some really fast cars there.

More information will be posted here as it becomes available. Also at http://www.chicagolandbuick.org/events/racing/Midwest_Challenge/mwc_index.html

Hope to see you there! Let me know if you need to know anything else.

Bobb, they haven't decided on the host hotel yet, some time this week, and Loyd will update the Chicagoland web site with that info! The stuff on their site now is from last year, we are not staying at that Ramada Inn again, so I am told!:beer
