My wife may have trouble recognizing me in the month of Sept. About all she will see of me is a vapor trail! Wayne, I am letting her know about it right now so I make my way down to help support racing this side of the Mississippi! :beer I finally let the flyer download! Hodges gets top billing? :spank: His head will get too big to fit in his helmet! I will see if I can get some of my friends to make the journey to Tulsa with me! :TU:
Thanks Casey, I REALLY appreciate it. :TU: Rusty; Cool.....It's going to be a lot of fun.......Steve's head is pretty big!!! His car was the quickest car at my race through manifolds.....I was really impressed with him...he's great guy............If I send you some flyers, will you pass them out to people that you think might make the trek to Tulsa? I just resized that flyer. Wayne
Had a great time last year, will be back this year. If you want to see my head get bigger, find me an 052 ZL1 block, there's more head space, when you're wearing a bowtie
Hey Steve.........The block that I had found went to another buddy of mine who is putting it into a '69 Camaro ZL1 replica.........He's saying that he's going to have it at the Martin race. :TU: Wayne
Wayne: Plan to make it with something this year. Trying to get the tripower 66 done, maybe that one! Would love to have the red 68 done for your race. That one is definitely not Pure Stock or F.A.S.T. bound, but would work well in your framework. :TU:
Tulsa race Well I have something brewing. I don't want to spill all the beans b/c the car is not in the garage yet. Heck, my wife still kinda thinks I'm kidding when I say we are going to West Texas this spring to pick up a car. Hopefully I'll have it ready to go in Sept. Keep your fingers crossed. Matt OKC,OK
Wayne..........It's not PS LEGAL and it's really not specifically built for F.A.S.T.........I think it's around 11.5to1 and around 450 inches..........heads are ported.....roller cam....it's a stick........It's more of a play car for him that I've talked him into bringing to Martin so I can get him hooked............ He's a real nice guy, but he really isn't a "racer".......He's a havefunwithyourmusclecar guy........... Dave.............I'm looking forward to seeing you there........ :beer Matt...............It's time to spill the beans............... :3gears: Wayne
Can't spill the beans.....yet I can't talk about the impending project until it's in the garage. I've been talking with Junior Supercar aka Chris Smetana extensively though. For those of you who know Chris you can see it will not be an ordinary project Matt
ew, ew, I know what it is, I know what it is :Brow:  actually, I may not have any vacation left to make it down to Tulsa for the race. We'll see. I had a real good time last year, even though I was a spectator.
ANYTHING goes, under the hood............... :beer ......My race is basically a hard tire, headsup street race.........I do have the Stock Appearing incentive plan, to intice those type of cars to show up........The way I look at it is; So what if Joe has a small block with nitrous that runs 11.80's on hard tires and Mark has a 30K blue printed Stock Appearing Hemi that runs 11.80's as long as both cars look relatively stock with the hoods closed?........It's still going to be a close, headsup, fun race......... :TU: If enough PS and Stock Appearing cars show up, I'll have a seperate lane just for them, if that's what they want....... :TU: Wayne
All of those cars are fine for my race........... :TU: Put a 275-60-15 true radial or same sized bias ply on the car and bring it.............The quickest car at my race last year ran 11.60's...........You need a roll bar at 11.49 at this track............What's your car run with sticky tires? Wayne
