On Friday I had the GS out and was shifting from 1st to second @ about 4500 RPM. Heard a BANG inside the trans, and lost 1/2/3 gears. Car moved in 4th thanks to the BBB torque. Ended up with a big towing bill to get it home. Nothing exited the case, but could hear something broken and bouncing inside the case. Any ideas what I might of broken, slider, shift dogs, gear? My 2nd gear was getting weak, but not jumping out of engagement yet. I'll be pulling it out later this week, weather permitting. Jim
Spoke to my tranny guy today, sounds like a busted main cluster ou: Looks like I've got some money to spend (not good).
Michael, Thanks for the offer, but I need wide ratio W/3.31 gears. Thinking of doing the upgrade to M22, using my 660 case. My guess it that wear & too much torque did in the M20. Couldn't of been that 4500 power shift :Brow: with the sticky tires, right? Jim
