Doesn’t matter if you are selling it or not. Some are more practical to restore than others.

28000881_10155140607411674_1804682933_n.jpg I am starting out with this 98% rust free shell that I got from a seller in Maryland. Yes,I got a super screaming deal on it,but it shows that there are still plenty of good deals out there yet.A 10 hour day,a few hundred miles and a new friend also saved me a boatload of money to use elsewhere on my car. I have a $20,000 to $25,000 price range for this project and am not afraid to use used or cheaper priced parts. This will be a Stage 2 backhalf car triple black.

Absolutely right, but if we were all trying to be more practical, this would be a chevelle website.

Pat, what ever happened with your GSX project?

Still have it..I decided to save the body of the GSX instead of using it on a back half car.Although it will probably never have to original drivetrain,I would like to make it a nice driver and have fun with it.I have been hoarding parts for it.So far,I have a complete floor, trunk, inner and outer wheelhouses and seat panel. Only need a couple more panels. Then when that's all done,I want to locate a new frame and go from there.

Armchair quarterbacks should stay on the bench… If you can’t play in the big leagues, just keep dreaming!

  7. You aren't going to build an A body Buick out of a catalog. Not even close.

Is be interested in the 70 Stage1,but I don’t need the other car with it. I would just finish parting it,and use some parts for my other cars.

Not sure who his comment was directed to or what his point was, but I hope it wasn't meant to be as offensive as it came across.

Did the Motion X get all cleaned up? That's a rare one (to say mildly) I would love to see it...

I drove the motion X very soon after it had been restored. They were still working the bugs out of it. Once they put the correct torque converter in it, that thing came to life!

David Macintosh had that car stored in his basement for years and years and years, I knew about it and put Mark, Dave and Don together and Mark ended up with it.

It was really cool being part of the process which brought that car back to the public eye. I’m not sure where it resides now but I’ll never forget the drives I took in it, burning the tires off of that thing at my leisure was certainly something I’ll cherish forever.
