muffler hangers

    guys:
    any ideas where i could obtain the rubber strapping material
    that is used to produce muffler and tailpipe hangers ?

    I believe Steele Rubber has lengths of it.

    It isn't "masticated rubber" as that is what is used for the inner fendrer splash aprons. It is probably something else. Give them a call.

    that stuff looks like strips of old tire sidewall :Do No: got a saws-all and a few old tires?

    You can also use a semi truck's mud flap and fabricate one.

    straps

    most auto parts stores carry it, precut in 8" lengths with holes every inch. I just bought a pair to fix my hangers!
