I like many have tried to deter mice in my car via various means, 20230509_131854.jpg bounce sheets seemed to work and the car smelled alot better than moth balls...guess I'm going back to moth balls....

Use a radio, heavy-metal turn it up. F the neighbors, Let the mice go to their house. Also deters the criminal element. Lol

I've been lucky with mice. We had stink bugs at the house though.. Wiped bounce sheets on the screens of the porch and they disappeared. Scary effective.

Never have had good luck with dryer sheets. I laced a car with like 30 of them and they still ate and crapped all over the place.

    Will say it again.
    Vanilla scented tree air freshener.
No sign of critters inside my H/O in the 10 years I have had it.
Yet trapped many in my wifes Jeep parked 4 feet away.
Smells much nicer than moth balls.

Lavender or peppermint. Mice truly detest the peppermint or lavender scent - pick peppermint oil, cinnamon, vinegar, citronella, ammonia, bleach, mothballs. lavender or vanilla! It has to be the peppermint or lavender oil though

I found a type of plastic construction bag that has a scent - I forget what the scent is, but the manufacturer claims that rodents don't like it. For several years I put three cars in our barn which isn't mouse-proof with a number of these bags in them. I also set about a half-dozen Victor mousetraps around the outside of the cars and headed for Florida. When I returned in the spring, all of the traps were full and there was no evidence of mice in the cars. The bags were sold under the name of MintX . If you needed larger construction=type bags they could be reused.

I use fresh cab in my camper that sits in my driveway and at the door to my garage. Between that and my neighbors cat I’ve not had any issues last couple years.
