My enclosed trailer floor is wood. I'm not sure how to mount an electric winch I have. Seems just using big bolts and the floor to mount the winch wouldn't be strong enough. Any ideas or suggestions ? Thanks, John.

How about mounting a steel plate down to the wood floor. That way you are spreading the winch forces over a larger area of wood.

That's what I was thinking about. Maybe a steel plate on underside of the floor too.

I was sitting in a enclosed trailer at the track during a thunder storm and noticed the winch set up. This guy had a pully bolted the the wood floor right in the middle towards the front of the trailer using the 2 steel plates over and under. He had the winch its self on the side bolted through the floor into the frame rail. The cable ran through the pully and out the back. Once hooked to the pull point he could turn it on with the remote and pull his car in. when it got to a point he would hook the rear straps on and use the winch to pull it tight. Start to finish it took less than five mins to load and secure his car.
