I have two different intake gaskets in my kit. One set is the typical gasket material but the other is metal with a bead rolled in and are fairly thin. The metal gasket covers the exhaust ports on the intake side of the heads, would those be for the aluminum intake? If so would I still have to somehow block the ports themselves with JB or soft plugs?

    Argh! Sorry, I have a '64 300 with '65 300 heads and a '64 aluminum intake.

If the metal gasket sealed off the small round exhaust ports on the intake side of the head I wouldn't have to worry about those leaking or corroding the intake. If that's not how these work I guess I'm back to figuring out how to plug the holes.
