I have seen a Monte Carlo in junk yard and am trying to get parts off it. Maybe a 70 ain't sure. I would like to assume rear axle housing is same as 70 chevelle??. It has sway bar boxed control arms and chrome rear cover. And am praying front spindles will interchange with 68 skylark.

And...the trunk lid is the same as a 70-72 Buick Skylark or GS/GSX

I used the spindles/disks from a Monte for my 66 Special, so yes, they fit and work.
I believe the Monte has a 12 bolt rear. Width should be good, but double check.

Thanks: I got up and went to the car but thought best to claim rear before the pickers seen it. Story was car came down from Illinois. With roof pushed down allready..Hope all is well with components - spindles. Rear is tight. And rotors and studs show car out of use for a while

This car had front bumper guards - inch or more stabilizer bar in front disc brakes heavy duty 2 piece steering shaft- bucket seats sport steering wheel rear had boxed control arms sway bar and inside was left a partial console with 4 speed quadrant. Once the yard cut spindles off I had to seperate ball joints. Now I'm trying to get rear hauled over to me so I can pull cover and inspect
