4K is all. The seller made the mistake of 1) taking it to that auction in the first place 2) falling for their representation on the block that if he lifted the reserve they could maybe net the seller 5 or 6k and 3) delaying selling the Electra until he had another car coming so he was out of storage space and in a rush.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Sorry to hear it didn't do better. Someone got a bargain!

Dang, what a bummer. Looked like a really nice car that should've done much better.

I predicted 5 to 10k. They do not bring much even if nice.

Me too, I was devastated.. Being 14 to 15 years old I was into the numbers game too as far the 76 Electra being the longest car made at 233.4 inches long. Didn't help the performance era was gone with smog equipment in full swing and looking at such a dark future. They weren't these thickly gauged metal framed, fenders and bumper's anymore and seamed cheasy at the time.
They did grow quickly and were really pretty smooth riding and cushy enough and big enough to be called boats eventually that I forgot the ride of the older ones..Funny and sad that time fly's so fast as I remember them almost like yesterday..

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

    Funny. I had a gold 77 Electra with a 403 Olds and tutone green a 78 Bonneville with a 350 Buick.
