Anyone know where to find a replacement? The rubber on mine has separated between the mount and the bearing. I've tried RockAuto and Cars, Inc., plus all the normal parts outlets. Also anyone know which other years will fit and whether one from another GM full size will work?

You can also try emailing Eric Stoldt, "MR 61 BUICK@aol.com". He is the BCA techical advisor for the 61 full size cars.

I took my driveshaft to a local driveline shop. They rebuilt the whole thing, and were easily able to source a new bearing, and the rubber. I don't have any part numbers or anything, but maybe a local shop could help.

Tried both sources, no listing for the center bearing. Thanks

By driveline shop are you referring to transmission repair or other? Not really familiar with that exact term. I'm not in a big city so perhaps that is why.

Try Steele Rubber Products--they can revulcanize your old part.

I went to their site, but it's not real clear on what you need to do. It looks like to me that they sell a new one or you can have your old one fixed, which doesn't make sense. I tried to call but they aren't in today. Does anyone know if they do sell new ones or do you have to send your old one in to be fixed?

A refurb of your old one by Steele Rubber may be the only option.

Good news, I found the center support bracket and bearing I need and the parts have been ordered. Found both at oldbuickparts.com.

I was searching in the wrong place before as I was in the NOS parts. Went to the Buick store section and quickly found what I need. Ended up costing nearly $140 with shipping, but it's worth it to be able to drive my baby! Thanks Jim and everyone who replied! :beers2:
