I feel your pain brother. Dealt with one last winter, took three months for the little ba$$turd to finally succumb to the poison. He was eating it like candy. Thankfully, it was just one, and he did no damage to my interior.

None in the garage this winter.

I use lots of Decon in the garage as well as dryer sheets in the car. It seems to work well.

I stopped using decon because they move it and store it everywhere before they die. I find decon almost everywhere in my garage:mad: Went back to snap traps this winter, got 4 of the little bastar..ds :TU: I load the GS up with bars of zest soap and dryer sheets. So far have have not found a mouse in the car:)

I would cover the GS Convert in the winter (in the garage) until the one year I took the cover off and found mouse turds on top of my convertible top:eek2: Now I just leave it uncovered...

On hot days I swear I can smell the mouse pee in my garage:Dou:

Yep, had one scurry right across my foot about 3 weeks ago in my pole barn. These little buggers were bold! They were the first I had seen, so I threw down 6 snap traps with peanut butter. I had just set the last one when I heard a SNAP. The first one I set hadn't been on the ground 2 minutes and bagged one. Killed 2 more in the next few days and haven't gotten one since. Once the cars complete I'll be doing the zest/dryer sheet thing for sure.

I've read in HRM that people have had success against mice by storing the car on jack stands with the tires off and with a metal oil drain pan under each stand so they can't climb up the stands it to get in the car.

If someone has the room to store their car that way it should work good to keep those little sh_t machines out.

One of the best mouse traps to use is a 5 gallon bucket with like a beer or pop can with a rod through it attacthed across the top of the bucket so it can spin. Then cover the can with peanut butter, and put a 2x4 against the bucket like a ramp so they can get to the top where the can covered in PB is. When the mouse jumps on the can for the peanut butter, the can spins and the mouse falls into the bucket that has about 6" of anti-freeze in it where the POS drowns. The RV anti-freeze works well,or even windshield washer would work as long as it doesn't freeze. In the warmer months water works just fine as well.GL and happy hunting.

Mice have about a 2 foot vertical jump so you need very tall jack stands.

Best thing you can use is the electronic deterents. Sends out a pitch that seems to only bother rodents. My cats don't mind it. I've been using them for 10 years and have never had a mouse.

Those things do work. My wifes office had a mouse problem. Once they bought and plugged in a few of those things around the office, no more mice.

Have read dozens of 'mice threads' on numerous forums. Many many responses detailing how mice have lined nests with dryer sheets & Irish Spring found with teeth marks.
I personally have had an 'electronic noise maker' have no effect at all. DeCon works for short whiles, but then they come back. It can be a bit unsettling to see how ravaged a box of DeCon can get; they vacuum it out quick.

The bucket trap works very well, tho. First time I set mine up it caught 11 over a number of months. 2nd time I think it caught 5.
Best bet is to seal your building if possible. I had mice getting under the sheet metal siding of my 'pole barn' (it's a 4-car garage on a concrete slab), until I poured a 'curb' around the interior edge to seal everything. Next up is sealing where the doors fit to the concrete with AL.
