After installing new lifters to stop intermittant clacking with no results. I finally pulled the lifters out for the third time and discovered a mixed match set of lifters. 12 Melling and 4 clevite. The Clevite were located in the same place as was the rocker arm clacking noise. I noticed that the oil ports and groves were different designs. All the time I am saying it could not be the lifters.......their brand New! No more clacking...yeah Has anyone ever seen this?
