This kind of looks like John Looney's car for sale here, this and black is the best color you can put on a car. I really love this maroon the darker the better, when will this darn lottery start to cooperate with me.

Can't get away this weekend. Are you going down to try to buy something, or just look?

That maroon is beautiful. Now I don't like the blue paint on my GS anymore, but I'd need the lottery to cooperate before I could afford a new paint job.

I wouldn't be too hard on you blue car, that too is a really nice color especially for Buick colors that tend to be more conservative, with the obvious exceptions

I believe that GS Enterprises restored that car . It was at a Dealer in Cal a few years ago .

Disappointing bid for this car & I know nothing about it, just thought it would be higher.

I've been following it on TV when I can and I think bids are down on almost everything lately. And what's with the Corvettes? Is everyone who owns one trying to get rid of it right now? Mecum is advertising a 10 day, 3,000 car auction in Kissimmee in January. I'd almost be willing to bet that 1,000 of them will be Corvettes. I don't remember how many cars they had last year (2,000?) but there were over 6oo Corvettes. Personally, if I had one I'd want to get rid if it too, but it's getting boring to watch one after another cross the block.

I loved that burgundy mist `70 convertible, but $27,500? Not a Stage 1 but still, an LS5 Chevelle, RAIII GTO or a 442 would have been at least twice that much

I think you are going to see more of this as the economy gets worse. I do not think it is getting better anytime soon. :(

Two of these sold for 38k each at mecum Houston . Cali auctions for some reason are always weak .

Bill you're right mid year vettes are at a all time low used to always bring six figures for a decent one . But i think you're on to something if there are 50 of them at every auction it gets watered down imo .

It was a total nightmare for me. they did about 3K worth of damage to my (2002 Monte Carlo SS) #3 Edition. Yes, there going to pay to fix it, but 950 cars there and mines the one that gets hit....

The 2 that sold in Houston were Miles apart in Quality, & the reason they went for the same #, was the 2 Bidders went after the Green Car, and the loser on it, threw his Max to get a GS Convert.
The 3rd GS Convert sold Friday Night, for $25k and then Reran on Saturday, and sold for $23,500.
I sold the Green car. 2 time ISCA Award winner, and Loaded with Options & Documented. The Red Convt, was RUFF, But the Buyer threw his Max just to get a GS Convert. The 3rd car, was previously owned by a Board Member, (long ago) Painted like a GSX,and was long in the tooth when it went through the sale.
The Maroon Car looked Very Nice, but was light on equipment (No A/C, No PW, etc) which also could have effected the price.
Prices Are Down, and I don't expect to see them go up for some time, and that was with everything I saw.
I saw a change from Houston & Dallas, over the past 5 months. (was @ Both Sales) and also at the others I was watching on the "Boob Tube".
Although I love the Mid Year Vettes, having had 3 of them, I also think people are waking up to the fact, that the money had gotten out of hand, and the market is correcting in most cases.
(I also believe there are More Matching # Big Block Vettes out there than were ever Built, but that is another Story)
