After cruising around in my buick for a while, the Master Cylinder leaks fluid from the cap. Ive already replaced the cap, and rubber inside and it still seeps out. Its not alot, just enough to leave the master cylinder wet. Anybody know why this is happening?

a few possibilities, that i can think of-
    1) the top face of the master cylinder is ragged or not flat & will not seal properly
    2) u have overfilled the m/c

Ive tried 2 different caps. One plastic, and one metal. Both of the rubber seals in the caps are good. I dont think its over-filled because it got really low on fluid. Ill try to clean up the top where the cap seals and see if that helps any..

I am having this problem too and it's starting to piss me off. I bet the gasket surface isn't flat:rant:

is the spring wire stretched? It should almost take a screw driver to remove the wire. Not your fingers.
