    Marco-

Your wife must be over the "drop zone" about now, and the second ones almost always seem to come sooner than the first ones. Anything happening???

Being a dad is a great experience, isn't it?? :beer

I think it is safe to say......

They are giving birth today!:TU: :TU: :TU:

He also may stop having more, else he may have to swap that convertible for a sport wagon.

    Thanks guys!

We've been over the 'drop-zone' for about a week now. My son was born at 38 weeks, and we thought our daughter would also be born at 38 weeks. Sound right? Wrong! It's definitely a female :Dou:

No offense to females, but the only thing we forgot to consider in our theory was the genetics (it has to be the DNA  ) . My wife is late for everything (no time management) and it seems our little girl is following suit. This Friday marks 39 weeks completed and my wife is getting really uncomfortable. At this point, the baby's full term and she's just getting bigger.

I was searching the internet for natural ways to induce labor. With my son, after two false alarms, a lobster dinner did the trick :TU:. We tried the lobster dinner Monday - nothing. She's at her OB/GYN now and she's going to ask about the caster oil method.

We'll keep y'all informed, and the digital camera has charged batteries.

And Dan, I could only wish it would be today. We really, really want this to happen soon. In a perfect world , she'll let us eat Thanksgiving dinner before she decides to greet us.

    Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

PS - being a dad has changed my life immensely for the better, and I thank God every day for this wonderful opportunity. My son recognizes my BPG shirt as 'papa's Buick shirt', he knows my car is a 'Buick GS' (and asks for rides :TU: ), and recently he's identified my saturn yellow ERTL model as a 'Buick GSX' :TU:

So Marco, I would imagine at this point you wife is getting up to go to the bathroom, say, every 5 minutes or so??? :)

Get a friend with a 3/4 ton pickup and find a bumpy road to take your wife for a ride. Worked for my wife with our first! :TU:

Best of luck. Oh, I hear the turkey they serve in the hospital is awesome, just like home made. :gt:

Yup! All 3 of mine were "helped along" in that way.

Strenuous labor does it too. So just have her clean out the garage and the basement. That should get things moving!

    Marco,

I hear trying what brought you to this point will also accelerate things...........hmm!

Never fear if she does deliver on Thursday - it's a rotating Thanksgiving special. Our oldest was born on the 27th and it works out that it is only every fourth year that it lands on the same day as Thanksgiving.

Children are a blessing indeed - you'll all be in our thoughts and prayers. Congratulations!

Marco, Good Luck with your latest project! :TU: Why not just hold a Lord & Taylor store credit card near your wife's belly? That oughta bring the little girl out!

    Marco,
You have not experienced being a parent until you have more than one child. The pleasant sounds of them SCREAMING TO NOT BE BOTHERED BY THE OTHER.
The joy of Christmas Day when they are convinced that the other sibling got more toys. :ball:
And birthdays were true pleasure at my house. The older child was born on the 11th of April, but her younger brother's birthday was April 1st (a perfect day for him), so every year she was tormented by HIS birthday party being before her's. :af:
But now they are 22 and 18 and their arguments have matured. They now argue over WHO GETS WHICH CARS WHEN I DIE!!! :eek2:
Seriously, life would not be the same without them. Good luck and best wishes.
I am sure the baby is on the way soon. Likely in the middle of Thanksgiving Dinner!

    Mark
