I lowered my window a little too far down to get to the "fuzzies" screws, because now it won't go back up at all!! Turn it to go up and it just sticks, any advise???

  2. pop the door panel off and look at it in the open before something else get broke. good luck. might just need to be put back in place ; - ):spank:

Okay, update. When turning the handle to go up, it doesn't seem to grab on the "gear" just makes clicking noise. Not sure how to fix this one.

  4. you need a new window regulator for the door. its striped out. is it for the 77 regal?

Yes, it's for the Regal. But I'm wondering how it could be stripped, it's been fine, until I lowered it to far today. Is it possible that it's off the track??? Everything looks fine with the door panel off.

  6. just pull it out. its only a few bolts or aluminum rivits. have you taken these out before. its not that bad. look where the handle goes on and check it out. it sounds like its striped to me.

I've never done one before, so I'll try my best. Just never thought that I would ruin the regulator by going to far down. Thanks for your help.

  8. no problem. if its rivits, there might be the stud left in the center of it. take a punch and tap, not hit hard tap them out. then drill out the aluminum rivit. you will not need a very big drill as the rivits are bigger in diamiter than the opening they are in. get yourself 4 1/4 inch bolts to put the new one back in and no problem. you can email me at ghildebrand@wi.rr.com if you need any help.

Well, good news, I may not have ruined the regulator. Just contacted a glass company by the house and the guy said that it's probably not stripped, but that I took it so far down that it won't catch. Seeing as how I need the rear window resealed anyway, I'm going to have him take a look at it. Thanks again.

  10. good luck. hope it works out for you ; - )
