Correct me if I am wrong, but the Muncie 3 speed was referred to as the HD manual 3 speed," and the Saginaw was the standard. If someone had to run a 3 speed for a while, behind a healthy 455, what would be best? What info can someone share as far as ratios, durability, factory applications, etc?

Thank you for any info you can share!

I know Buick used Ford 3 speeds for a while. In 67 they were Fords.

the saginaw 3 speeds & 4 speeds were used on 350 & lesser cubic inch engines that had 2 bbl carbs. if your car had the 350 with 4bbl , then u got a muncie.
i would imagine that a 3sp muncie may be quite scarce.
