Well i think i have a major issue here with TA`s 64-67 stage 2 headers, the lower z-bar arm where the clutch adjustment rod connects to hits the header tube dead center, when i initially bought these headers TA assured me it clears the Z-bar,what do i do know??:Dou:

If worse comes to worse, you could take the headers to Kook's and have the headers modified to clear. Thy're out on LI in Bayshore

You could go to a hydraulic clutch but it's about $250 to do it with a hydraulic throw out bearing or $150 to do with a slave cylinder.

Yea i know i can do all this stuff but the point is when they claim it will clear the Z-bar it should clear it.

    Thanks

    George,

If TA said these headers would fit with no problems then I would challenge them. You should not have to modify the Z bar as they should be a direct bolt in. Let us know what they say, I'm interested to see if they step up & handle it like professionals..

Spoke to Mike about it and told me that Dave should`ve never told me that they would clear a Z-bar so it doesnt look good on my end for them taking responsibility to correct the header for me and re-jet hot coat them because i`ve jet hot coated them already.

    Thanks

sounds like some ace customer service. I think TA should have made it very clear that their stage 2 headers wouldn't work with 4 speed cars. you probably have about 600 dollars in headers you can't use. they really should take them back with no drama..

More like almost 1,000.00 into them between the purchase and jet coating, but no sweat i guess i`ll try to find a way to fix them myself i have no choice.

    Thanks
