low or high stall at the track?

    maybe i should post this on the tranny board but i figured id ask. for those of you running switch pitch tranny's do you lock it in high stall when at the track. also, what would the stock stall speeds be for a 67 switch pitch 400 trans in a gs.

    thanks for the quick reply. traction was definatly an issue. im waiting for my new wheels and tires to come in so i ran 195/60 14's from pep boys. which i swapped on just to pass inspection.


    it was my first time to the track. in my 67 gs im running a stock 76 455 with an 800 quadrajet, stock switch pitch trans, and 2 93 rear. leaving at 1000 rpm and "pedeling" the car i managed a 2.266 60 foot, and a 14.624 quarter at 94.77. while shifting at 4500. any suggestions?

    if only i were allowed to have riders with me at a track in nj:(
