Losing Another one

    Sorry to hear this. But doesn't surprise me.
    I heard @ a Track Rental last month, that HRP/Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown TX. will also be going away in the next year. A "possible new track" maybe going on the North side of Houston as a replacement, but can't confirm that right now.
    NHRA & it's BS is part of the problem, Telling the track owners to do things & either refusing to Honor & nail down times & dates for events, then Not honoring their commitments to Owners.
    The other is that the land is getting more valuable for other reasons. Texas World Raceway, was valuable enough for CoPart to Lease after Hurricane Harvey, in 2017, that they rented the property for the Asking Sales price. HRP, was also rented out to CoPart for more than the Racing Income, so they limited events to "Track Rentals", & stored Flood cars on the majority of the property, Event People, using minimal Pit Area, & None of the spectator parking.
