Think I will order a bunch of parts this year. When and if they ever come in... I'll buy a car to put them on.

I figured I'd mix things up for a bit - and pay homage to the car during its early years.

Plus, it's widely known the factory ram air setup is somewhat restrictive. I'll use it for the limited shows I attend but this is the new cruising look.

Bruno's replated hinges - which were take offs many years ago - were installed this afternoon, with fresh bolts from Todd Miller.

I also swapped out the old rear hood bumpers with some new ones, also from Todd.

I got some bits back from the plater a couple weeks ago and am 1 or 2 parts away from ridding this engine bay of the mid 70's black spray bomb.

Power steering brackets are now correct phosphate and I also added Steve Caruso's Swan return hose.

Alternator adjustment arm is also the correct phosphate and I found the correct lower TR bolt in my stash.

Wallypep massaged this repro Parts Place shroud so the mount for the hose hook looks correct. I did have to hollow out the two holes that affix to the radiator top plate, so fitment isn't perfect, per say. Luckily, the wide washers cover the work I had to do.

The power steering reservoir was in dire need of some freshening up, so I masked everything in its direct area off with foil and brought it back to life.

The who knows how many year old springs were replaced with some Moog 5385's along with new rubber insulators. The old ones were absolutely toast.

Incidentally, one of the previous owners installed spring spacers on top of the springs. This explains why the car had air shocks when I got it.

Hopefully, this helps with the ridiculous wheelhop issue I've always had. Stance looks better to me as well.

One of my mother's students had been asking to see the car since starting school 4 years ago, after she'd told him about it. He told her it was as much fun as getting his diploma.

Lord Vader - making people happy since 1970. :D:D

I finally installed the new foam seals I got from @ramairbri a few months back.

I got the shortest seals due to the B4B. They fit great and there's still a small amount of "squish" from the seal plates. The others we're a bit too tall, causing the snorkel to push down on the radiator hose with the B4B.

I wonder if my warranty is still good? :D:D

    Thanks!

A lot has happened since it arrived here in March of 2017.

Funny: I'm in contact with a couple of the previous owners in Lebanon and they've gotten a kick out of what's been done to the car.
