I am seriously thinking of swapping out the 350 in my 68 skylark to a 455 w/ a 400 tranny. Does anyone know how difficult it is or what obstacles I may encounter? Do you recommend the swap? Any information is greatly appreciated! Oh yeah, the 455/400 combo is coming from a 1970 riviera and are being sold for only $350!!!

    alec296 i need another buick

you will need frame pads for big block(ta performance or poston)
the 400 trans will require shorter driveshaft and different yoke
    and moving trans crossmember back.
will need to alter exhaust to bolt to 455.
fan shroud, radiator from riv might work but not sure.
not a hard swap just watch the ac box when droping 455 in as
exhaust manifld might crack it(if your lark has ac)
there is other info on this board about swap just look around
