This would have been an original rust free 32k mileage car bought out of central Florida somewhere around 1985/86 ish.Everything on the car was original including the paint when my dad sold it except the tires(grand prix radial gt's) and it had an aftermarket clutch in it.I had spray painted the valve covers and star wars air cleaner with candy apple red paint(I was a stupid teenager, cut me some slack). The car was a factory gold paint with a black painted top.It had black carpet, all white interior with buckets, mini console with tach, four speed tranny, positrac rear with 4:11 gearing. My father had asked a local used car/specialty car dealer(Tim Lavey Automobiles) if he knew someone that might want the car.last I heard he had a guy that bought it and was supposedly going to strip it down and ground up redo it but in candy apple red(and i was a stupid teenager?).Whether this happened or not,I do not know.I was told by my father that the car was bought new by a man that lived in Kissimmee florida that raced cars around the daytona area. This car was too low geared for what he wanted so he gave it to his wife. She is the one we got it from.I have no names to go by.I probably could not afford the car even if I found it (if it was even for sale) but thought someone out there might want to know the history of the car.I never got any photos of it.Thanks for your time,Richie

The color combo with the painted roof and the white interior plus the way it was equipped sure should make it stand out a bit unless it was molested with a red paint job and who knows what else. Good luck, sure sounded like a neat car.

Good luck finding it. I posted about my first skylark I sold in '93 or '94 while in college in gainesville (stratomist blue with a maroon vinyl / velour interior 430 buick engine and 4 on the floor see attachments) and had no luck finding it.

Man I wish I had that car back!

    Best of luck....
