I have the sp2 on my track elimator headed 494 but need the newer one for my tomahawk 540.
    So what newer stuff?

I've heard for the demand of bigger cubes and rpm that the wildcat per considered better than the sp2

I’d park both of them on the shelf if you want more power. They are great intakes, but since they also designed them with hood clearance in mind, they left a little on the table. This one did make 865HP,but fed a hellava set of freaky worked heads that is was ported for. I need to keep this until my other intake is done-done,but I also gave Gary first chance at it.

I have my wildcat up in Canada, Chris Skaling was going to port it with my plates but has second thoughts. When I did run it on my 494 I did gain a tenth and 1.5 mph so I know it would work. I'm trying to get my tomahawk for the national's but still need the heads finished and a intake. Ben that intake looks nice! Who did the work?

Thats Brian's intake, but if you want to use my ported sp2 for the nationals if you cover shipping with insurance both ways ill let you use mine. Its just sitting since my motor puked last summer and haven't done much to get the new motor going as imbuilding funds

Well with my SP2 my car has run 9.03 148 mph, with a short time of 1.29.A good short time for these cars with this kind of HP,should be in the low 1.20's.With that kind of short time the car would have run in the 8.80 or better. My car is a 494 .Looking at the motor and all things in that area you would think I would be lucky to be in the 10's.Don't forget more then 20 years ago,in the Northeast chapter we were competing to see who had the better times with steel original heads, the cars were not tubbet,we were running in the middle to upper 9's.By the way,as is the cars weight is just under 3000 pds.Bruno.

3000lbs? I’d love that. Mine will always be in the 3800lb range.
    Dan,
The heads were done by Sunset Performance in the late 90’s. Not sure if the intake was done at the same time or years later, but I believe they did it too. I just recently had that coating done in/out. I have all of my intakes done now. I just did a spare Wildcat intake(minor porting). It’s the same high-temp ceramic as my headers. New Image Coatings in Struthers Ohio does all that for me.

I'll find a box and get it figured out. It might take a few days with what I have on schedule the next too days.

Finishline motorsports did the porting....then I had to have the inner of the cloverleaf cut out to clear the blade on my sv1 carb.
