Looking for 1965 Griffith....series 200... 289 cu.in. ford powered... fiberglass body, steel tube frame...manf in england.. assembled in long island new york....see pic
Griffith was the name of the dealer who did the mod to the TVRs a la Shelby Corbra/AC Ace. Very sweet cars and loyal owners group. I almost bought one about 1980 but the tube frame was rotten. Not to bad to replace as the body is attached only with straps of fiberglass......but I was into XKEs at the time. Little guys would really run with the 289s and with the very short wheel base they were perfect for autocross. Note: Jensen Intercepter - all glass sports car with Mopar 440 V8. Neat cars but very heavy so not too fast. They made an AWD version with an early torque couplier(?) to split the power front and rear. - Bill

Peerless-Warwick How about a Peerless-Warwick 427 Super Coupe? A friend of mine picked up this car at an estate sale ..from the limited info we could find on the car only @ 70 were imported into the US. This particular one has a 427 Ford side oiler w/dual quads/auto trans/Girling disc brakes and a fuel cell. I believe he wants to keep the motor but wants to sell the body. I was road raced in the late 70's/early 80's and had the front end crunched. I have attached some pics...PM me if you aare interested or know someone who is.
I use to do the service work on a TVR with a Triumph TR-6 drivetrain in it. Really cool car. Speaking of Ferrin' cars I would like to have...TR6, Wire wheels with red line tires, British Racing green with the Brit flag on the rear 1/4 panels. Always liked those cars.
Where on Long Island were they built? If its close by, I could take a picture of the building for you if its still standing! Jason
