What is the proper (correct) finish for the shift linkage on a 69 Stage 1? And any uno have a pix of the proper set up??? Spanks, Michael
Woodie, The linkage on my '69 is black phosphate coated. This came directly from Hurst, so it may just be "replacement" stuff. The clutch rod is a GM replacement and is silver in color. The shift dogs are also black phosphate coated. Hope it helps. Jim
linkage rods yellow die cromeate color & adjusting dogs or locks & nuts black phosphate colored or go with black die cromeate last longer & WONT RUST !
69 linkage Here is a pic of 68 and early 69 linkage as I understand it. These lever arms are not correct, reverse is an odd shape. Anyone know when the 68/69 linkage made the transition to 1970-72 style linkage?
