linkage???

    What is the proper (correct) finish for the shift linkage on a 69 Stage 1? And any uno have a pix of the proper set up???

    I see the correct set up for the 70 but no 69. And is the gold zinc "correct" for 69?

    Thr shifter, linkage and the trans were the same part numbers for 69 and 70.

    Woodie,

    The linkage on my '69 is black phosphate coated. This came directly from Hurst, so it may just be "replacement" stuff. The clutch rod is a GM replacement and is silver in color. The shift dogs are also black phosphate coated.

    linkage rods yellow die cromeate color & adjusting dogs or locks & nuts black phosphate colored or go with black die cromeate last longer & WONT RUST !

    69 linkage

    Here is a pic of 68 and early 69 linkage as I understand it. These lever arms are not correct, reverse is an odd shape.

    Anyone know when the 68/69 linkage made the transition to 1970-72 style linkage?
