How hard is it to replace the be of an S10. Mine has a pretty decent hole in it and I was looking at getting a salvage yard bed. If anyone can give me the tricks to it that would be very helpful. EX is it just bolted on, does wiring run through bed or under it until the end. Does wiring "unplug" or has to be cut then conected. How do you get it off in the end. Cherry picker or 4 friends, or drive in reverse really fast then stop.:Brow:
    Thanks in advanced, Stubbe

Let's put it this way, when I worked at the dealership, we removed the bed to replace in-tank fuel pumps. The beds were easier to get off than the fuel tanks.

Wiring unplugs at the left rear. Undo the fuel filler neck. Remove the 6-8 bed bolts (can't remember how many). Get a couple buddies and set it off.

I had to repair fuel lines on a fullsize '89 2500 PU, and managed to get 10 bolts holding the bed off fairly easy, after pre-soaking them with penetrating oil. The S10 should be an easy R and R. You can inspect and replace your brake lines, shocks, and exhaust system (if necessary) at the same time! :TU:
