This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

We're not getting worked up...might seem that way but Tim and I are on friendly terms.

I think I see the issue here finally- When I said "on the ground" I meant the car, not the plane, but I can see how I should have been more clear that I was talking the car with the retrofitted aircraft engine and not the plane. The way I typed it, it seems I am only talking about the plane. I figure that the way that V12 must be hooked up to the automotive chassis, you're losing a fair bit of hp.

Hey nobody is excited here, that is one thing the boards can't convey is tone of voice....I am simply trying to clarify some comments that were made...

I also forgot to mention that the limiting factor in any boosted engine will be where the wastegate or bleedoff valve is, if max pressure is 20psi, it doesn't matter where you are, what the altitude is, you will never go over that unless the valve fails, thus you will never make more power at any altitude.

AND if you were a real moron you could also hit the WEP on the runway as well....:Dou:

ANYWAY, I would think the biggest losses of power in a car chassis would be simply the chassis and the connections to the drivetrain..aircraft enginess tend to run at more or less a lower rpm and more or less constant speed so would need lots of gears to work that.....no idea really how you would make all that work.

By the way this is the bench, nobody said it had to be all Buick...I don't think I have ever been upset on here, although I know others have and I love to egg it on and get discussions rolling, you can always learn something.

Wait until we get our turbine powered truck rolling.....

    later
    Tim Happy:)
