I spent a day re-installing the rain gutter on my 72 gs..it was disconnected in several places and sagging..It seems to now fit perfectly, and is snugged up to the body per the design,,,First rain and it leaked!..2 leaks in the straight section below the window...could this be from tears in the back window curtain? I am sure the gutter plastic has no holes in it, although there are some shattered mounting holes, but these should be above the flow line of the gutter...any ideas?--I hate to have yet another top inexpertly installed by one of the local butchers in Albuquerque!( who screwed up th gutter in the first place!).....btw, I saw a thread about the (sound insulating) well cover which fits between the trunk and the well liner...is this a 72 only piece...I have the original one fron my car, and while a bit worn seems like a good idea for reducing noise..is there a picture out there of exactly how this mounts? I can see the top edge clips into the rain gutter, but how does the bottom edge fasten? Thanks

if you mean the convert well liner that I described Mark then it doesn't attach at "the bottom"....it just hangs there and is attached around the upper perimeter.

I think the "forward" mounting point is that it gets tucked under the metal strip that is screwed into the sheet metal behind the backseat upright...this metal strip is what the long straight plastic strip on part of the convert top boot SLIDES INTO.

Will take pics when I get to the point of installing this top but it's probably aways off.
