Is there any reason a small box the correct size for say...a 69 Skylark grille ornament should take at least two weeks to get to 79922/ El Paso TX? Regards, 455NGLIDE
I've sent a Buick distributor to Germany and a timing cover to the Netherlands in less time than that!
I ship parts home to my dad in Canada a lot. Sometimes its there in 2 weeks.. but most times its closer on a month No matter the size.
all depends on customs. so I am in manitoba, when I send a package it goes from here to Winnipeg, then to Toronto or i think Edmonton for international customs clearance. once there they may set it aside if it happens to be the certian unlucky number of the day(like every 10th package), then it may be x-rayed, sniffed by a dog, or tossed arround the office for a bit. then it finally leaves to go across the boarder to the network of the U.S. postal service, and then after 2-6 weeks shows up in youe mail box.
I have the seen the same thing many times..... Sometimes it takes 1 week to get from Canada to the US and other times it takes 3 weeks.
Mail for the US to Canada can easily take 1-5 weeks or longer to get here. I am still waiting for a package form Texas. So going south it can tkae a time as well but I have never ever lost anything sent by mail either way  but i have been worried about the time but it always shows up Ken
WOW...apreciate the promt follow up. Yes I did finally recieve a box....and in less time than a set of headers from within the U.S. borders took to get to me! Best Regards, 455NGLIDE
I shipped a grill from NY to Nova Scotia via the USPS and it arrived, intact even, in 8 days. I was pleasantly shocked!
