Hey guys, I'd like to get some rally's on my ride, but year correct are one of those 'never see' items at the yards. I have a line on 3 wheels from a 77 Regal and 2 from a 75 Skylark. If I nabbed all, I'd have a complete set including spare. My question is would those rims fit my '71 Skylark? Drum brakes, and everything's 14inches. So, yes or no?

If yes, is there an easy or trick way to remove tires from rims? I'd rather not pay for the sh*t tire to get the rim.

I'm headed back there tomorrow, soo...

    Thanks again fellas!

Good news! They will deffinetly fit your car....the bolt patterns are the same for "G" bodies as well as mid to late 70's Buicks. As far as getting the tires off cheap...NO WAY!. I've tried to do this before and I struggled with it...the steel bands thats in the bead will be difficult to cut. Belive it or not a local junkyard will take your tires off for next to nothing..most yards have a tire machine. Its loads easier and its done in 10 min. or so. Hope this helps:TU:

Also....usually yards will charge you a base price tire and rim...they will not charge you extra for the tire...if they do...ask to see if they will remove the tires for you! I did this with a set of a 442 rims for my 84 Cutlass, charged me 25 for each rim, tire and all :)

    Shweet!!! Thanks Larry!!!

Now, anyone got some centercaps "cheap" ? :Dou: Don't have to be year correct either, tho probably more noticeble as incorrect vs the rim itself. Then again, no way can I afford $150 for a repro set. :(

Use the 14" rally center caps...could get a set for as little as 40 bucks!....hope this helps you again!
