Well, I just parked the Riv for the season. Added fuel stabilizer to the gas. She's down until spring. Did a few good smokey burnouts too! This winter's tinkering includes: 1.5" shorter front springs 2.5" TA exhaust New AC compressor Tires balanced Wheels sealed with ZOOPSEAL New brakes all around New fan shroud Angle front speakers in doors with custom wedges Detail engine bay again That should keep me busy 'til April...:ball:
Well, I considered that, but someone who saw a TA 3" system said the fit just wasn't very good. Our "X" frames are a bugger to route exhaust around and I'm sure that is the culpret, not TA's quality. And I was also posed with this question... Greg Gessler has no problem turning awesome numbers with 2.5" exhaust, so why not use that AND get a good fit too??? Will the 3" give me a measurable benefit over the 2.5"? If anyone else has either seen a 3" on a Riv, or installed one, please chime in here. Thanks
I feel your pain Yardley. I moved Petunia into the ugly garage today and parked her next to the Chevelle. I shook all the sleeping yellowjackets out of her cover and sadly removed her battery and carried it down into the basement. Tested the antifreeze, a few more mothballs, covered her up, and closed the door till spring. :ball: Winter projects: Finish parting the Skylark Save money Dream of how to spend it
I comiserate! But I keep the battery all hooked up. Never know when a freakish 60* day will creep up. Besides, I may need to move it when doing the work on it.
Your climate is a little warmer in PA too. You don't have to worry about cracked batteries leaking acid all over the place as much as we do. Good luck with your projects, and have fun! :TU:
I ain't puttin Nuthin up! Now is the time to drive it with out having to worry about overheating and also there are Christmas parades. If it is real cold, like below freezing, then I usually don't drive it. And of course we rarely have snow!
