    Hi all,
I want to publicly thank Dana & Beth, Mike and Chris for their willingness to help a fellow board member. You may know from several threads that I am having a difficult time getting my car (ChinaMike's 71 GS) picked up and delivered. Last week when I thought I might have to get the car out of Mike's hair Dana and Beth without a second thought agreed to take the car and hold it until it could get picked up. However, after speaking with Mike he agreed to let me keep the car in his storage space until it could get picked up. He also arranged for his friend to handle the pick up. Today, I had a "discussion" with the transport company. After this lively discussion we decided that the delivery process would be speeded up if the car was shipped to a larger city. So I asked Chris if he could possibly take delivery of the car for me because he is in Seattle. Again, without hesitation he agreed to help me. I don't recall ever being involved in a club where people are so willing to help out others. So to Dana, Beth, Mike and Chris thank you. Your willingness to help deserves public recognition. Here's one for each of you: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU:
Your help is VERY much appreciated.

    Harvey,

    It is certainly my pleasure!

I will even give it a nice warm spot in the garage and kick the GN to the curb for a little while until you can make it down to get.

Better not take too long though, my wife really liked it in the pictures I showed her when I was thinking about buying it.

Looks like I will end up getting "a car" before you no matter what now!!!!!:eek2:

Chris, it's coming with a car cover you can put on before she sees it. Trunk and back seat are loaded up with extra parts and it needs a thorough cleaning and detailing. I'm wondering if you will be able to resist the temptation to start working on it yourself.

I am not sure that will work Mike, I already told her about it last night. That car cover will fit nicely on the GSX.

    Harvey,

Mike is just kidding about the parts and the car cover, he isn't really going to send them.

psst, Mike, any of those parts fit a 70? I won't tell Harvey and he won't miss them.......

    LOL:beer

    Hey Chris,
Thanks. I never thought of that. That's a great way to get a low miler!! (and a very sore neck) LOL

Sorry Chris, but it definitely needs a new heater core before you can take it out and play. Definitely the first thing on the to do list.

Darn. Probably would need new wipers too if I was going to drive it around here!
