    Guys,

I really enjoy the stories about Mustangs being blown off the road, however, a few of my friends that own them, test guys like Buick owners, Mopar owners, Chevy owners and anything else on the road...and I wouldnt under estimate them as they are built to run. They are light, fast, and cheaper to build then a Buick, especially a 1987 LX 5.0 (modified) convertible Mustang. (I know of a scary fast one)

Keep in mind the aftermarket parts are inexpensive and readily available to any novice Mustang enthusiast who can afford to build them (and blow them up). It's a totally different car and a totally different game, be very weary. Im not defending Mustang owners, just looking out for guys like us that spend over 10 grand to build their 455 motors and have some kid show up at a red light with a nitrous set-up. and clean our clocks.

    Look for the intercooler..

    Just my 2 cents

Mike - you are right, to a certain degree. All it takes is a trip to the track to see that not all mustangs are 12-13 second wannabee's. some that look the same as these easily can click off 10 or 9 second passes

    ....but....

there are FAR more 13 second guys out on the streets in their mustangs with a loud exhaust and maybe a CAI who THINK they are "All That" but are really just tasty morsels until a real meal comes along.
