    Hi,Guys
Buicks run really well, and i think they have better flowing heads than the oldsmobile . Now if you could combine the two, you would have a heck of an engine. The olds bottom end [425] forged parts, and the good flowing buick heads would make a great street combo. I,ve read that the 1970-455 stage 1 was waxing the hemi car,s stock to stock. That,s hard to belive The old max-wedge [425] would beat a stock 455. Not to take any thing away from the 455, the driver must be at fault. I know my buddy bought a 1970 hemi-cuda in about 1978 from Mr.Norm,s .And it was stock except for a shift-kit, and he never had a problem with buicks, oldsmobile or pontiacs. A 1974 z-28 pulled a heck of a hole-shot on him, the cuda reeled him in like he was driving a prius.Well just a thought.

This whole texting revolution has caused the three r's to be set aside by a large portion of the population age 30 and under. I am continually reminded how technology unsavy I am at work by the co-workers who have phones, PDA's ( what does that actually stand for anyway- personal data ????), etc.

When they actually have to write something down on paper as a record or do basic mathmatics or arithmatic they either struggle or simply get frustrated and give up. They are too proud to ask for help in many instances and it is a shame. I'd trade a bit or english, spelling, and math tutoring for some computer science tutoring.

And don't ask them to tell you where you are on a paper map or to know what direction North is because that will cause them to blood from the ears, nose and mouth or to fall to the ground in convulsions.

I don't want to ask them to identify a carburetor or vacuum modulator.

And then I post a comment with a spelling error- I get a F on the proof reading.

Hi,guys. Just having a little fun! So what my typing and spelling is not perfect. Life is a lot more than being a perfect writer. Hey are we to try to relate our automotive experience to one another. Some guys sound like a old uptight Republican!!:Smarty: Hey lets have a little fun and talk about the merits or the buick ,olds ,poncho mopar or what have you. I want knock you if you hate my user name. Like i said my first user name was ,walter brinston . I forgot my password ,so i changed my user name to something i could remember and like the 425 olds engine. Like i,ve said i like buick engine too, & mopars ,ponchos,. The 425 Olds is a great member of the series E olds family ending with the 67 model year. We have a bored E series 400 Olds in a 66 olds 442 with tri power. They generally have the meat to go to 425 cid and beyond.
