No, The only ones that got them had the deluxe/custom interiors, and they came on ac and non-ac cars. If you had a standard interior it did not have any carpets. Duane
Standard interiors have a doom light and deluxe have sail panel lights instead in the back. If I learned from Duane correctly. @Duane correct me if I am wrong. there’s other stuff, but the lights to me are the easiest to see difference.
That is correct about the lights, however there are exceptions. I know of a 1970 GS with a standard interior that also had the convenience package checked off. That particular car had the lights under the dash and the sail panel lights instead of the dome light only. (This was news to me too.) Back to Mike’s question, if you post the interior trim code here, which is on the ID plate on the firewall, I can tell if you have a deluxe or standard interior. Duane
Okay, thanks, appreciate it. I'll get to it soon. I do have the sail panel lights and no dome. So, assuming I have a deluxe interior, does someone make carpet pieces for those panels? Should I ask on the forum here to find some?
I actually used double sided tape to hold the new carpet to the kick panels. The old ones were in with staples and I tried to save and tried to redo but didn’t have the patience at that time. For now double sided tape. Then the Kick panels are only held in by two screws so easily removable later. Maybe one screw driver side and two for passenger side. check this thread. It has @Brett Slater 4 speed carpet install and then mine for auto. Has pics of my kick panels too https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?t...cedure-advice-tips.375044/page-2#post-3286096
