Hi, this is my first post here, and have a few questions. I have a 61 special wagon with the 215. I just put a new edelbrock manifold and 500 cfm 4 barrel on it. It will idle fine but has no power when you try to drive it, it will only go a few inches before dying. I bought new plugs, wires & stuff that i haven't changed yet. do i need to change timing or anything after the switch? or do i just need to dial in the carb?

    thanks

    carb

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but a 500 cfm carb sounds awful big for a 215 cubic inch engine. I would think about 360 cfm would be a better match. Brian
