Just so EVERYONE knows, my blower motor went in this instead of the Buick.

  1. I picked this Camaro up in Georgia and put the chevy motor in it instead of the 69 GS. :) I will procharge a 350 BUICK motor to be built by Jim B, stick it in the 69 GS California and sell the damn thing. I have absolutely no brand loyalty, except to GM. Most of the guys in here are way to far off in the deep end of the pool for me to comprehend. I will offer the Cali here first, if anyone wants it...if not, I will offer it on EBay. Wish you guys the best of luck with the upcoming advancements with the Buick program. :TU:

I'm just trying to figure out the roof vent on the biege car.

Is that for extra luggage? :)

  4. Thanks Dave...It's too awful loud..It won't wake the dead or anything.

Freed...LOL..extra luggage. Yeah, that's it..lol! I am gonna try and find a flat fiberglass hood for it that I can hack a hole in...

Sweet! Is it tubbed? Those look like huge tires on the back!

  7. Hectic...I'll get a side shot in the AM.

Bill, no it's not tubbed but those are 10.5's and I think I can get some W's on it. These guys down here are all about the TT5's (true ten fives) and most of the hotter classes are on the skinny tire. They are going through a "let's see if you can run this on this tire" kind of thing. It has sub-frame connectors and cal-trac's for adjustibility. I am heading to Evadale, TX. on the 21st to play and T & T.

Nice car. In my opinion, that year was hit or miss in the looks department; it depended a lot on the paint - and the black sure looks good.

But why not the Buick engine with that blower :)

  9. If the new blocks ever come on out, then absolutely!

But the blower would be way too hard on the old blocks. I'd be throwing money down a bottomless pit. I just got my timing control wired up tonight and that is sure a handy little piece. For pump gas, back the knob down and for racing fuel, CRANK IT UP!!! Looking for some bottom 6's and maybe even some high 5's....T & T coming up and we will get a baseline and go from there.

Don't take this wrong, now, it's all in fun.

Wouldn't a Buick 350 be more suitable to power a leaf blower? :moonu:

  11. LOL!!!!! I'm not saying a word!

    :eek2:

  12. Picture from side...sorry about it being in the garage.

This was after I cut the hood. I figgured what the heck, I already own this one and it might just look interesting? Here ya go.

  14. Took it for my first test drive this evening.....

I have been in some really fun cars in my lifetime, but I was not prepared for this little escapade. Wow!!! I have a little problem with the oil pan sitting about 2 1/2" off the ground, so pulling out of the driveway and onto the road is a tricky deal. I have some BB springs coming from Summit on Thursday, so it's not really that big of a deal, but I couldn't wait till then. I have never driven the car before and wanted to "go around the block"....LOL! Lord have mercy! The throttle response is totally awesome! When I did manage to finally get the thing backed into the garage and killed it...I was literally shaking. Holy crap Batman! I was real good on the first three legs of the block, but figgured on that last little straight of way, I would "blip the throttle".....I did not know if the tires were on the ground or not and grabbed 2nd without knowing or caring whether they were or not. The brakes were superb slowed me at the stop sign. I can't wait to get to the track and get the FULL run under my belt. I will be doing some 60's and 330's before I get crazy, but one thing I do know for certain. This is gonna be a really fun ride. :TU:
