    Thanks Chris.
Still have not checked the dwell on the points, or looked at the timing.
That little out of tune 350 is turning over a HUGE cheater slick in that video.
If it had the little factory 14" tires on it, that would have been a smoke show video....Hmmmmm, maybe a new video is in order.
We found we had a very stuck cylinder #6 exhaust valve, a bent pushrod, a broken plastic rocker button.
Once that stuff was fixed, and valve freed up, it runs good on all 8 cylinders.

Next time I'll stay in it.
I lifted to make the second neighbors drive to turn around.

Yeah, still have some things to sort out.
    Bad ground somewhere, back feeding.

When I had the mystery front brake lights, it was the turn signal switch. It has happened to me twice now.

Actually, on this car the right rear tail light housing is broken and pushed inside the bumper. I found this evening the ground wire is attached, or supposed to be, attached to one of the mounting studs of the tail light housing. Touched the ground wire to the bumper, and viola, everything works!

I really appreciate this thread. It's motivating, entertaining, and exciting to see a neglected car move forward.

Our "normal" guy for that seems to be hamstrung with a Corvette fan belt right now :D just ribbin' him

Picked up a 31k mile 35 yr barn find 64 Special convertible today.
This may mean the 71 has to go to make room.

Well, new fuel tank and sending unit was in order, but the 64 now runs on something other than a gas can.
Had a good 16 gallons of rust, muck, varnish doing a number on the inside of the tank.
Went through the carb and ignition system. Runs smooth and quiet.
Everything seems to work, lights, power top, etc.
But why wouldn't it? It's a 31,000 mile car, and.....When better automobiles were built, Buick built them!

Well the 71 went to live with a new Buick brother of ours yesterday.
Car is in very good hands, and I will let the new owner make himself known if he so chooses.
I imagine we will hear more about this car in the future, it has good bones and some neat factory options.
