Just installed a 3.08 posi, break in question?

Wanted a posi but since the car was to be used more on the highway than on the track 3:08 seemed the way to go over 2:56. At highway speeds car does not scream like it might have with higher gears. 3:23 might be a good choice as well if your willing to take a chance!

Those were the two I had in mind. Have you had a chance to "play" yet?

How does it feel compared to the 2.56?

    Thanks!

First keep in ming that I had a tranny shift kit installed at the same time. That said there is an overall difference since the change. The car which is basically a stock 4bbl with headers and 14" tires will now chirp the tires hitting second gear when you get on her. I really don't notice much difference getting off the gas at highway speeds which was a concern. Off the line she is better than before but not by as much as you might think. If I had to do it again I might try the 3:23's but am happy with the 3:08's. Overall the change is noticable but not overkill!

    Hope this helps!:TU:
