Question: Correct Type I or Type II storage consoles for the 4-speed 1970 GSX’s?

I have read in the past that the
Type I storage consoles ((Tri-Shield lid) was available “into the early 1970’s”.

I have heard a few folks with mid and later cars (GS&GSX) had the Type II push button lid storage console.

I specifically was wondering when the 70 GSX’s (available through August) made the change from Type I to Type II.

I am curious to see if it will be more of the happenstances of what the assembly worker happened to pull or if there is a more definitive cut off.

I know there is always the “never say never” motto like the one 4 wheel drum brake 70 GSX, but wondering concourse judging wise which one would cause a point deduction?

So what style storage console was or is your 70 GSX equipped with ?
