I was cleaning the shop this winter and found a box with 3 Q-jets in it! I had purchased these at a swap meet two years ago. (I am getting old!!!) These are 800 cfm. 1) 7042240, 1) 7043240, and 1) 7044240. I have built these carbs and tested them this last week. I am offering them for sale, and apologize to those who have called in the past needing a carb. Price is $375 plus freight. I would need to know about your combo. Including cubic inches, compression ratio, cam specs (at the lobe), head work, intake, exhaust SYSTEM, clutch or converter, gear ratio, ignition SYSTEM, and how you set the timing. Anyone wishing to pick one up at the Nationals, can send me a $50 deposit and your info by May 9th. If you have any questions can call 270-737-4467 8am - 8pm or PM. Thanks, John

I didn't think about paying for cores as well. I've always just sent him my carbs to work on. That's why I was wondering about the price.

    John,

Will you be able to re-plate, re-dip, or whatever, one of them back to stock color if I was interested?

I'd like to purchase one but appearance, in addition to performance, will be very important to me.

    Thanks, John.

John, you said that you built the carbs last week.
    What does this include?
What work was done on the carbs?
What do I have to do when I put one of those into my car?
Just hook up the vacuum gauge and tune it to max. vacuum?
Or is there anything else to do?
If I give you all infos about my combo, do you put the correct rods, jets PP spring.... in?
