Call 845-528-GSGN That is the Northeast GS/GN Club (NE Chapter GSCA) line. If there is no answer leave a call back number and John will no doubt get back to you. They are thicker and like mentioned have the raised lettering and all the correct writing. Better than Year One.

    Jarrod,

I'm not sure if they're thicker than the ones on eBay but the quality compared to the pair I have here is much better. :TU:

John's username on the board is "Skyhawk". Contact him and he'll get back to you....

Jarrod, I think that you know what the NOS decals should look like because I have seen comparison pics that you have posted in the past(see below).

Are these repros. exact or just close? If the repros are exact then we will back off on having correct ones made. Thanks. :TU:

Thanks for the compliments Brett. The Northeast GS/GN Club started reproducing these decals about 15 years ago and they were copied from NOS decals that were donated by Mark DeConti. The NOS ones were destroyed in the process of the reproduction and Mark knew that was going to happen and still gave up the set he had for the club. :TU: for Mark
We currently have GS 350, GS 455 and Stage 1 available for th cost of $8 each plus S&H, For those interested please PM me and I will get back to you. Dave Kleiner has been using them for his top notch restos for many years.

So true Larry. I was just wondering if the ones Brett were talking about were better and thicker than the ones on ebay. The Nos one is something for me to go by. Stay clear of Ebay decals.

    Skyhawk: PM coming your way.

I have two decals. One is NOS / unused and perfect and the second is original GM removed from the air breather assembly on my car. The two are dimensionally exact and although the decal removed from my car is heat discolored many of the details are visible and in good condition. The two decals match in every detail.

Is there more then one "correct" type decal? Was there a difference in years or production runs? What is the straight scoop with these decals?

The two decals in the photo are different in many ways. I am not sure what to make of this.

Looks like we have to wait for Duane to chime in this subject for that answer. Unless there is another Guru out there.

I have never seen a Northeast chapter decal. Are they identical to NOS? The decals in the photo belong to Jarrod.

My camera cannt pickup the detail in John's decal. I put my cheap repro next to it for comparison. Notice how the tri shield in the Northeast chapter decal glitters like the NOS one? Its heavier, has the raised letters just like the NOS.

    Larry,

You've never heard of these?? I searched like hell on this board looking for John's service and finally posted the question....

As I stated in my original post, these things are fanTASTIC.....and I guess one of the best kept (and reasonably priced) secrets around.... :Brow:

You'll be very satisfied with these. :TU:

    Gentlemen,
I have been buying The Northeast GS/GN Club's decals for as long as I can remember, and that goes all the way back to when the guys were selling them at the Holiday Inn "Hollodome" at BG before it burnt down. They are the only decals I will use on my cars.

If someone wants to spend the money for NOS decals, then more power to them, but these repro's have always been fine for the Concours classes. At least all the ones that I have judged so far.
    Duane

PS. I never knew that Mark DeConti donated his NOS decals to be copied. That just kicks my respect for him up another notch.
