It just can't walk yet :pp

I finally finished the engine swap portion of my project, here's the low down:

    84 Oldsmobile Cutlass, originally with a 231 v6 and TH200 tranny.

Now with a 350 (buick of course!) out of a 71 Skylark.

Supposedly has been rebuilt fairly recently, and was suppose to be pushing out somewhere around 350HP, which I doubt but you can tell it has a decent cam in it at least.

Stock 4 barrel intake, some spiffy TA aluminum valve covers, using the stock exhaust manifolds, and for now a Y pipe (not enough cash for a dual system at this point.

I will try to get some pictures posted soon!

The engine holds 20-25 PSI oil pressure at a warm idle with 10w30 oil, is this respectable?

Sat at about 180F just sitting, and I don't have the fan shrould on yet.

Now to get the TH350 in there and be able to actually yard drive it at least!

I can't wipe this stupid grin off my face!

Sounds like a cool swap. When my 'Lark's engine seized, we found a 73 that someone had put in an 84 Century. I always wondered how that 84 moved with an old V8.

Well I got it all bolted together and running got the kinks out, had the #7 and #5 plug wires crossed (I knew it idled a little rough  )

Put it in gear back it up the drive way and start pulling it for a spin around my yard, well it got going alright, unfortunetly stopping wasn't in it's plans :eek2:

My front drivers side brake line had rusted out and burst as soon as I pressed on the pedal :af:

Well at least the E brake worked :)

So now begins another project, I don't think I will ever have enough money to keep up with these problems as they come but I am actually enjoying working on it.

Brakes are easy. You'll have that thing on the street very soon.
